    Question : 4t60e??

hey guys how is it going?

i have a 1995 grand prix gtp with the 3.4 dohc and a 4t60e transmission , i was wondering if i would be able to put the 4t65e trasmission in it? since thats what it replacment was , and im sure it is stronger since the newer gtps have 240 hp and 260 tq. if someone can let me know that would be great thanks!

The 4t65e will bolt to a 3.4 dohc. But I'm sure you need to do some rewiring. I have no idea of what has to be done. www.motorswap.org might have your answer.

But your 4t60e can be rebuilt with 4t65e-HD parts by ZZP or tripleedgeperformance.

The 65-E is fully electronically controlled while the 60-E is partially electronically controlled. You would need the computer and some of the wiring from the donor car and re-tune the computer to be able to run your engine.

To do a 65e swap IMO would NOT be worth it. You can do like was said above a few posts.
