Question : Need 4T65E swap info

Hello,
I am new here, but not so new to cars. I have an 04 Chevy Monte Carlo with a 3.4L and a 4T65E trans. The trans is slipping and banging into gear and the 1811 max adapt shift code is permanently set. There are multiple problems with the trans. I am not nearly experienced enough to overhaul it, so I would like to swap it. I have pictures of the ID tag on the trans but is there somewhere that has info as to what the numbers/letters all mean so I can match up a boneyard trans to swap in without problems? I can post pics of the tag if needed.

so you only need the model year or compatible model years, and the broadcast code to match?

is there a way to tell final drive ration from the trans tag?

Find the broadcast code on the take and then look it up in one of the tables in the link above. That's the only way.
