Can you run Type-F in a 4t65-e, only thing done to the tranny is some plugged acutators and firmed up shifts, I heard somewhereType-F in Dexron III trannys works well?

That's an old-timers trick, don't know if it's advisable in the elctronic trannys. This was brought up before, do a search and see if you can come up with anything. -
I did it....
It helped minimally...I'm going to use Amsoil synthetic trick shift. Absolutely no slip at all. Not sure if that is a good idea, but what the heck. Try it once at least. The shift is so slow it probably won't be that bad.Comment

Type F still works on the transmissions today. Its going to generate more heat though so you will need a trans cooler. If you have a stock cooler, get a larger one.Ben

Yep, Type F is better for a built tranny.. not sure what it'll do in a stock trans.

you can run type F in the tranny. i talked to my tranny guy about doing it. he said it's thicker and would firm up the shifts, but dosen't really like doing that. probably more of a liability thing.Andy
