    3400 intake functional differences

    What was the difference between the 3400 intakes that actually have 3400 cast on the top of the plentum vs those that are unmarked?
    '98 Volvo V90 - Ford 5.0 swap in progress

    '71 Opel Kadett Wagon - 1.9L CIH w/ Weber DGV 32/36, in bits

    nothing until 2000, when they were redesigned to have more equal flow to all cylinders. Look for the crease in the TB runner to the plenum area of the manifold. This is what caused the issues on the older upper intakes.

      Ok, so I want no crease in the TB runner.

        Yeah, a 2000 and newer. The EGR changed in 2000 so thats the easiest sign
