OK, what's the official designation of the 3.5L I have in my '07 Malibu Maxx? The brochure says it's rated at 217 HP, if that helps any. I see a lot of reference to the "LX9" version of the 3500 on this forum. Any relation to my 3.5L?

You have the LZ4 engine, which is the destroked LZ9 3900.
