Question : Rochester Carb

Trying to find what type carburetor I have on an 85 S10 Blazer. Its a Rochester Varajet 11 # 17074264 there are several different types (models) M2E, 2E ??? Want to to get a rebuild book. Thanks

Hi there.......A manual is always helpful where a teardown is planned...yours is more than likely an E2SE...but if you don't have one,,,,,,,check this link, it will at least give you an exploded view of the carb and the parts list. http://www.tocmp.com/manuals/Carbs/R...jet/80-86apps/

It is either an E2SE or 2SE. The dead giveaway is the electronics in the carb. An E2SE has an electronic computer controlled mixture system. There will also be an electronic distributor associated with it.

The 2SE will not have any electronics and the distributor will be a standard vacuum/mechanical distributor.

Looks like the 2SE Model, does't have the mixture control solenid asm, but it looks like an electronic distributor, has the pickup, with a vacuum canister and weights.

No that's a standard distributor. When I say electronic distributor I am referring to the advance system. In a Electronic distributor there are no weights or vacuum canister.
