    3500 Crank and rod balancing

I was just trying to get some professional opinions on this.

Is it worth it to get my 3500's crank and rods balanced for the right price?

    Thanks for advice.

what are you doing with the motor??? any non stock build i do gets the rotating assembly balanced no matter what the cost is.

headers, LSx springs(we'll see since the 3500s are nearly as strong as the LS), some porting, 4.3 Vortec TB, attempting around 230-280 WHP without anything too major due to trying to get my other bills paid down.

Getting my W41 tranny here soon along with an LSD, so i'm trying to hit the 13s this season.

I was going to have mine balanced but the pistons will be destroyed if I try to get them out If I don't use the stock rods and pistons, I will have whatever I get balanced. The engine will last longer and you will get better power from whatever you end up doing as well.

I'm not having mine balanced, mostly because if you've ever felt the 3500 idle i think you could fall asleep on it.. i've never seen a '660 like that

maybe when aftermarket rods become avaliable but not now...
