Ya that is odd. Remember seeing so many header after-markets that never caught on and fade away while the motor was popular in new cars. Hell, I had a down-payment of like $250 on a set, but then everyone backed out, so the production was dropped.

ppl on clubgp have hell of time with them leaking but theyre only lil over 300 for them and is worth it to fix them for that price but for us its to much money for smaller motor that is comin to be very popular

I'd say the price is a bit better there.

i've been running my wideband in the crossover for the front header for a few months now.. no problems at all.

I think the 5speed bellhousing comes up higher where the headers go over it. Hacking them up would make them clear a 5spd or fit a L/J body firewall but might as well make your own if you are going that far..

Why dont headers clear a 5 speed aplication and can anything be done to make them fit?

That means the O2 sensor is only reading the exhaust from the front bank of cylinders (2,4,6) and not all 6.

As for Pacesetter, well $500 for painted headers is a rip. Expect these to be nothing but rust within 2 months.

SS does two 3-1's and then a 2-1 collector...

I'm not liking the extremely high amount of parts plus I'm having trouble seeing how that crossover pipe works... then again my setup would have to angle down MUCH further.

I like how they merge the pipes together into a true merge style instead of just dumping right into the collector of the rear bank. Hope they are actually less in price. I can't seem to find them for sale at any of the big companies like Jegs or Summit.

pacesetters are the best bang for the buck ls1 4th gen f-body headers. but with that, comes shitty coating. they do rust out at the collectors pretty fast. but for 400 bucks, you get what you pay for.

I have never heard anything good about there stuff, and I have heard a lot about them. Design alone turned me off this set.

Looks to me like they're based on the latest generation w-body platform and since they weren't offered with a 5 speed, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

On a side note, I wonder if these clear the t-stat housing better than the S&S. I also can't stand that they don't offer a catted downpipe. They'd rather you hack up their headers and totally trash the warranty on the headers.

I want someone to get these to see if the damn things leak like the 3800 ones. When that happens, I'll be convinced that pacesetter sucks ass at building headers.
