    3.1 MPFI modding

I've been thinking about replacing my cam, fuel injectors, and fuel pump on my 1993 Cutlass 3.1 MPFI, with higher performance versions...
If I replaced any or all of these, what other changes would I have to make?
And does anyone make an actual ECM programming module for my car?

If you want to tune, you will need a laptop, aldl cable (moates.net), software (tunerpro, moates.net as well), and a chip burner (moates.net). We have the files here you need.

hmm...is the laptop 100% necessary? and how much would the rest cost me, if you know off the top of your head roughly?

Hard to drive around with a desktop hooked up for logging. Under 200. You need a chip adapter and a chip, which I think its 35 bucks. Cable is 80. Burner...i forget.

          true true...and thanks a bunch.
also, if I were to just replace the cam and pushrods...would my car run correctly without changing the tune, let alone perform better?

You can do a cam without a tune, it just won't be as good as it could be. The comp 260 or crane 260 would be fine. Pushrods only help.

I have the comp260 cam just not installed yet. FYI you will have to lower the motor some to install a cam. If you want to play with the computer without buying all that stuff just buy a chip from the store on this site.

Unbolt the subframe and put it on jackstands and lift the car away from the motor
