Help Installing throttle body 97 3100

I searched a couple of sites and cannot find a how-to on swapping throttle bodies. Will I need to remove the UIM? If so, will I need a New gasket?

Do you just need to swap the TB or the TB plate? If its just the TB, Theres only 4 bolts... Two that hold it onto the UIM and two on top for the linkage bracket. Youll also need to take off the coolant lines that run to the TB.

Swapping stock for RSM's version of 62mm.

Wouldnt that cause a problem as the Tb opening is much bigger than the plenum opening?


BTW since were on TB's, Ben do you need 3400 linkages? Ive got one at home that Im not using.

You will need to port the manifold to 62mm as well. If its the stock 97, you have small port manifolds. Better off swapping to large port manifolds and porting that out to the larger diameter.

Yes, I always need linkages with the TB plate screws.

Hmm maybe payday I'll buy on of yours....the Stage 1 3100 Lower Intake is already ported and costs a flat $200 before shipping right?
