Tough prediciment: '93 j-body or TGP?

I have a '92 Sunbird. 240k miles, 5spd, gets FANTASTIC gas mileage, working a/c, body is in fantastic condition, has lots of suspension work etc. I love it. It's fast, great on gas and very small/nimble.

I have the oppertunity to pick up an '89 TGP. Rebuilt turbo, custom tuned ecu, leather, sunroof etc.. VERY clean car. Car has 153k miles on it, minus the new parts/turbo etc, but I dunno about gas mileage.

Problem is.. i am in LOVE with stick. I almost cant live without it. What should I do? Pickup the McLaren, or keep the Sunbeast?

'93 Sunbird. 5spd, 3.1, it's fast. Oh, and 240k miles has proven lethal against Turbo Talons

I'm lurking occasionaly. It's tough because I'm usually too busy with the Army or my 5.0 Mustang. Which is for sale.

3400 swap in the sunbird, then turbo it with TGP code.

hehe no swapping yet. If I keep the Sunbird, I have a few easy things planned. If I get the TGP, I'll probably just perfect that which is already there.
Aside from swaps, whats your input?

TGP is more comfortable for cruising. Id take the J body for the gas mileage (I am looking for one for that reason). Ive got W bodies already:P

I'd keep the Jbody.. with gas prices getting to like $4/gallon a turbo boat wouldn't be the best thing to be driving...

I'm looking foreward to driving my Jbody again this summer...

Why cant you keep the J and buy the W? Sport the wobble body during the weekend or special events and beat on the sunturd rest of the week.

Any way I would take the TGP if I were you has a chance to be a car worth some money one day.

So what kind of gas mileage would a TGP get?

Ya that's what I'm thinking. Plus they are probably one of the sexiest cars ever built. Minus the auto part

Because as it sits, I already have 4 cars. Plus I need to get another one for the wife (either a cadillac or focus) for gas mileage. Plus I need a bike.

Probably average 26mpg if it's running like a top.

You have to remember to stay out of boost and to reduce the amount of lead in your foot. Some even stick an egg behind the accel. pedal.
