any one use a meziere or something similar to reduce hp loss either remote or at the place of the original waterpump

Honestly wouldn't see the point... You will get a couple hp, but not nearly enough to pay for the swap. For your money buy a under drive pulley, or exhaust or really anything that's already made and is common.You may or may not know 10 times what i do.

a 3x00 timing cover should ahve a hole or boss(s) to add the idlersComment

I can't use my PS pump and A/C either, so I machined a pulley out of Aluminum. You could just bu one.
