    Injectors size on a 3.1 Gen2

Running a Z24 92 on a dirt track. Only have a little cam (420-443) installed.

Also running a lite flywheel. I have just remark that the spark plug seem to run on the lean side!!

We are most of the time full throttle. also running a fuel pump from MSD at 40 psi.

What is the flow rate from the original injector and what size can i go to before having to change a lot of other things.( rules is stock or almost.!!!!)

original flow rate is 17# per hour. honestly the cheapest way for you since youre dirt tracking it is increase the fuel pressure a little..

40psi is low. Tuning would get your further than bumping the pressure alone.

And lucky thing with you, being OBD1 someone should be able to make you a chip.
You may or may not know 10 times what i do.

          OK..

So the OEM fuel regulator is ajustable??? How do you do this..?? What is the max. fuel pressure that the system can hold??

Would 19lbs fuel injectors be an easy improvement?

I tried a Superchip and also a JET chips(level 2) but it is not legal. Would a chip made by someone look like the original ? Because for the aftermarket chips it is easy to see that it is not the OEM stuff and you are disqualified.
Anyway, we have a little gain with those chips but it is not as good as it is supposed to be.

No, OEM is not adjustable. Those chips suck and are dyno proven at 0-1 hp gain. I could write you a chip on a memcal so it would look like stock but you really need it tuned, not just chipped. There is a difference, as you need datalogs to see what the computer is even doing.

You may not need larger injectors, but you won't be able to run larger injectors well without a reprogram. About the best I can offer without the car or datalogs is to use my old chip for the mustang 19# injectors on a lunati .441 lift cam (forget the rest of the specs).
