    3400 TB on a 3100

I got an 01 gp with a 3100 i stuck a 3400 TB on it and had a bunch of problems, shifting was bad and it would not down shift at all.

I thought it was a direct easy swap, some info on whats wrong would be nice,
I put the3100 back on and it ran fine.

Is it even worth putting the 3400 TB on it?

Did you swap your sensors? They are identical minus size, 52mm vs 56mm. If the 3400 had bad sensors, then that is the problem, not the TB.

Don't the large-port 3100's and 3400's have the same size TB? I thought it was only the older, small-port ones that had 52mm TBs.

I'd say the TPS on the 3400 one was bad. Swap your 3100 TPS over and it shoudl be good.
