    new issue.. my engine bay is smaller than i thought.. i dont even think its possable to mount one where the AC goes.. took a few measurements to compare to different chargers

    I'm willing to risk as high PSI as I can get as long as the tune is within a safe territory. There really is no magic number seeing how every engine takes on detonation differently.

    When the injectors shut down, you don't get a lean run condition (which would trash pistons) you get a no run condition - the fire goes out and doesn't come on again until you lift off. Wondered what the heck had happened first time I hit that, believe me! Miller Woods used that system and it seems to work just fine - not that you are bouncing of the limit all the time.

    BillS: iron heads won't take as much boost as aluminium before knocking. And I'm not so sure a fuel cut on your motor when it starts to knock is a good idea under boost. That's a good way to start knocking more and melt pistons!

    If I cared enough to get all the tools and software back, I'd be willing to help you out. Just that now I rather pay someone to tune my ecu's as it's cheap enough and everyone and there mother tunes nowadays.

    As long as quench is within spec, you can run as much boost your engine can handle assuming you can tune very well, don't pop headgaskets, lift heads, or blow apart manifolds (this I have not seen yet using stock manifolds) & supply the correct fuel.

    Lowering the CR for boost is old school thinking and is a thing of the past.
