    ajusting tce trigger?

i have a tce external trigger and i want to ajust timing with it but i keep second guessing myself. r the dashes above the zero advanced or retarded? i need to try to ajust it because the kid who tuned my car may have advanced it to much. i dont have knock but uf the car is hot or even just warm it wont start. it wont even turn all the way over.

Sounds more like a battery/cable/starter/ground issue than a tuning issue if it won't turn over properly when hot. Personally, I wouldn't adjust the trigger. up is retarded, down is advanced.

My son's 3800 has the same problem with all stock/OEM parts. I definitely think it's a ground and now a cable issue but have 100 other things to do before I get to it. The car was originally his grandfathers and he has now inherited it. The battery cables have turned green under the coating over time, but I think it all started with a ground issue.

He doesn't have the $200+ for GM cables, and I haven't had the time to make him new ones.
