3100 with 3500 topend -what #'s and whats needed?

well since it seems my 3500 bottomend decided to die on me (findout why sooon) i have a 02 3100 sitting and taking up space, and being limited on $ and time, what kinda numbers could i get by putting the 3500 topend onto the 3100?

and would i need anything special for this to work? (custom push rods? different gaskets?)

I think the bore on the 3100 is too small for the valves on the 3500 heads. I could be wrong though.

Notch the top of the bore where the combustion chamber overlaps and it should be ok. Just can't run it without doing something.

Well, it would be worth hp and mpg so I would do it if you can. Otherwise get another 3500 and sell your 3100. 3100s are worth more...or at least 3400s are.

Don't leave sharp edges when notching or you will have hot spots and detonation.
