IIRC it cost me between 400 and 500 to build my longtubes and have them ceramic coated, shorties are a bit less and fit better but you don't get the full benefits with them.

I ended up with about $275 in my turbo header setup. I bought the bends and the collectors and then made my own flanges for the turbo and heads. Used a metal cutting bandsaw and TIG weld everything.

I was told by a member a long time ago (aaron for those that remember him) to usr copper tubing cut to primary legnthvwith foam insulation on it the OD close to the size of the primaries you want to use to figure routing. Cheap solution to help you figure out how to route it and get equal length.

I've seen PVC used as a stand in before, but I personally prefer to deal in the real thing, most manufacturers, offer "build kits" which I like to tinker with, the last "kit" I bought was a Mis-bent kit from stahl headers, which contained an assortment of bends in varying shapes and sizes, which allows you to be a bit more creative then just 180/90/45/22.5 degree bends.

meh, I use whatever is close... coat hanger, random tubing, rope etc... copper tubing is expensive, haha
