Quick Cam question...

Will a 2.8 cam run in a 3.4 block ??... Are all these castings the same ? I want a cam for a 3.4 block that will run an old school distributor from the 2.8's
Hydraulic roller ?

2.8 was a flat tappet hydraulic. 3400 is a hydraulic roller.

there are flat tappet 2.8 3.1 and 3.4 engines. What 3.4 engine are you talking about? 2.8 never had a roller cam from the factory. They can all run a distributor.

Thanks you guys... I have a 95 camaro 3.4 that I want to run a hyd roller cam in and an old school 2.8 dist...

You will have to keep the lifters from rotating but its been done before. You will probably want a custom cam made for the flow of the iron head engine/carb vs the roller cams we designed for the aluminum head/fuel injected engines.
