    Head Flow Numbers

    Hello, I'm a newbie to your forums, but not to this engine. I have been tinkering with the 6/60 for about 5 years now. I am dealing with my 6th one of these.

    Anyway, I am looking for some solid head flow charts for the FWD gen2, and gen 3 designs. I have found one for the iron gen1 heads.

    I wont mind if its ported or stock flow, aslong as I'm told what it is when given.

    Anyone here have this info, or point me in the direction of it please?

      I found one back in march, started by betterthenyou. But that is the iron head flow chart given.

      I'm looking for the aluminum gen2 and gen3 FWD's

          thank you sir *bows* That would be the gen 2 design I'm guessing. I can figure something up from that for gen 3

            The top one (3.1) is the Gen 2, while the other 2 (3100 and 3100 with Mild Port) are first design Gen 3. By that I mean they have the 1.72" intake valve, not the 1.76" intake valve.

              ok. Thats not the d shapped exhaust either then I'm guessing.

                The last 2 are the D-Shaped ports. Any 3x00 heads will have the D-shaped ports.

                  So if I'm reading this right, the 3.1/3.4 flows almost as well as the 3100/3400 on intake, but a lot less on exhaust. Interesting.... I'd say that's where porting would be of the greatest advantage.

                  Wasn't there a porting guide somewhere on the site? I can't seem to find it.

                    Thats the write up I did a couple years ago. Its good for a basic port and polish job. I am sure there are some tweaks you could do over that to get more power for different applications but I haven't experimented enough nor flowed anything to really have anything conclusive.
