I was wondering if anyone has put a 97+ 3100 in a 1996 W Body. I am planning on puting the whole wiring harness and ecm in my car from a newer 97+ car. This way I could have dhp make me a custom ecm. I was also wondering if it would be possible to just get the ecm and wiring harness end from a 97+ car and just swap ou the ends and then just rewire the end of it to make it so i can hook it up to the 97+ ecm.

Why did GM change anything from 96-97, its the same engine, same OBD2. Seems pretty odd to me that DHP does a 97 3100 computer and not a 96 but what do I know.Ben
