I can move the connection down some, but you are looking at lowering the integrity of the flange as a whole that way. The set that is large at the bottom actually has the connection lower than the set with just the small, centered connection.

Let me mess with the designs alittle more and see if I can get something that allows alittle more access to the plugs while still maintaining flange integrity.

Although, if you look at the S&S headers..

..the connection is right in middle, so if you buy a set of headers (instead of making your own), that is how you are going to get them anyway.

if you take the center bar and move it down just a little bit and increase the size of it you should be fine

There. Blue is the original flat-bottom version and green is the new altered version. The connection on the green is 1" wide, so should keep everything aligned pretty good even after welding. And if all else fails, once the headers are made, you can always cut out the connection to provide unlimited access (dependant on tubing layout) to the plugs.

If you can't view the pic, you need a DWF viewer. There is a link to AutoDesk's free viewer on page 1 of this thread.

Like Brad said ignore the outline of the flanges. There was a drawing error and the laser did not cut the outline properly. They will be fixed. The hole alignment was our only real concern. That part is perfect so all we have to do is fix the outline.

DWF files cannot be used as a drawing for anything.

The DWG files are the real gold

Stop the bickering and cut the flanges as you see fit. I'm eager to start my headers and need the flanges. All these changes are only holding up production. The excess metal can always be removed...

Geoff's shop is shut down until the beginning of the year anyway, so we have a week or so until anything will get cut. So might as well get something that most people agree with.

WTF? We get people bitching for making a good product. Thats fucked. If anybody has a problem with production time maybe give J-Body Performance or Mantapart a call.
