3500 lower intake

does any one know if a 3500 lower will fit the gen 3 3x00 motors. i have a 3500 lower the rockers valve covers and soon to have the heads. i'm looking to put a 3500 upper on my 3100 and i need the upper and lower intakes. looking at teh 3500 lower it looks teh same as a 3x00 large port manifold. does anyone know for sure.

You have to use the 3500 heads. It will bolt up but thats basically it. It wont match the ports at all.

how do you know it won't work, i ask this because a lot of people say things won't work but yet they have never tried them

i wanna see if the whole top end works so if ou can get the the whole 3500 top end set and try it on your 3100 please report back with your findings

did you try the gaskets from the 3100 on the 3500 manfold or what and how far off are they. i mite go tommor and pick up a set of 3100 gaskets from work and find out where they are off. i belive you but i still want to see the difference or get an idea of the difference. i mite just put the whole top end on the engine if i can i got everything but the upper for free so i can't complane

not that we know you can get everything for free you have to put the top end on

I bolted the 3500 lower to a 3400 head. I dunno how I can make it any more clear that it doesn't work.

the bolt patteren on the two manilfolds are the same but the porst mis the gaskest by about a 1/16th of on inch, there is no way to seal it. oh well now i just have to find the manifolds for the 3500 heads and i can bolts them on too my 3100 and see how it does
