    96-98 3400 vs. 99-03 3400

    Some part stores are having trouble finding engine parts for my 97 3400 they only list parts for 99-03 LA1. Is there any reason why the newer parts wont fit? Thanks ~Josh

    Nope! :P

    The Upper Intake Manifold and EGR are diiferent though, so stay away from that.

      The valve stem seals changed as well. What part are you looking for exactly?

        oh sorry should have been more specfic. Engine inernals, bearings, lifters, piston rings, ect.

          Those are all the same. The cam sensor changed but I believe that makes no difference (i think 03 was the change anyway).
