    Message 4 AaronGTR

I heard you have the blower cam from milzymotorsprts.
Im sure a couple of people would like to know how the cam performs over a stock cam.
If you would please give us some information performance wise.
    Thanks

This could have been just a PM but...

I have nothing to say on the matter unfortunately. I'm still in the tuning process. No dyno sheets, no 1/4 mile runs. Also I've changed so many other things along with the cam since the last dyno that you wouldn't get an accurate representation of gains from the cam. All I can tell you is I have it and the engine runs.

Since someone likes to start a buttload of threads that probably could have been put into 2 or 3 total, and another person doesn't like looking at all of the threads, here are Aaron's specs (for the second time today)...

I asked Mike Milzy the same Question.
I also have stock heads and he said the cam would work fine.
But stage 1or 2 heads would be good though.
The cam would great for a setup like yours.

The cam will not work with stock heads. You need a minor port for optimal performance and different valve springs. You use those OE valve springs on that cam, you can kiss your heads goodbye.

I've spoken to milzy several times. he sells a "valvetrain package" which includes yet again "everything" you'll need in order to upgrade your stock heads to what is needed for the camshaft.

Machine shop work is required however.

It will work with stock cylinder heads (meaning not ported), but it will NOT work with stock valve springs. While having fully ported heads, valve job, etc would certainly be a good idea and help get the most out of the cam, at the bare minimum you need LS6 valve springs. The stock springs will not handle the amount of lift and duration this cam gives. To use those springs you will also need the LS1 shims and the 3.1L valve seals. So you need at least 3 different parts. I'd also recommend installing a new timing chain and damper at the same time.
