needed in temperate climates like California? I say use distilled water and a corrosion/water wetter.

No it is not needed. Water is better for heat transfer than antifreeze. If you never see freezing temperatures then dont bother with it.1993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

He covered that..And the water wetter should lube the water pump. But wouldn't that cost more than Anti-Freeze?Originally posted by sappyse107What about corrosion? If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.

I didnt think water wetter would be anti corrosive, nor distilled water. So what do you use for corrosion?Ben

Why not just use the minamum reqiurment of 30% anti-freeze and 70% water?? That way, you have the pump and corrsion covered, and you have the full amount of water. Also, the more water to antifreeze you have in the concentration, the easyer the pump can spin.Don\'t hate me because I\'m horny.

Thanks...
I forgot to respond to this topic....I use 20-25% anti-freeze. It seems to work well. Distilled water is the best since it is so clean.
