I'm interested in anything for an upgrade, I'll even swap the ring if I have too. I don't necassarily have to have it NOW, but before fall would be great. Come October the motor gets torn down, balanced, and worked in general. I would definitly want it by then.

MRZ is 15% or so smaller... 6" to 5" and its 4lbs lighter... that's the big increase there... so if you had to make it only 5.5" dia to allow for the dampener that would be a 10% size reduction, so I think that would be just fine.

I think MRZ was the same size as a FFP, so really in the end you would have as bad as a voltage drop with the dampener style one vs the solid ones.

This is how tight a fit his are... so if you added .5" dia that would give you space for a 1/4" thick dampener ring... Although I'm not sure how thick the wall is on this version from the inside dia to the min dia on the belt groove, meaning I'm not sure if you could simply split that thickness in half to add the dampener and not have to beef up one side or the other...

True, but you really cant go any smaller... The ring is only heavy sheet metal thickness... so you still need to be at least the internal DIA of that...its the timing cover mounting of the sensor that screws it up, and the count of the notches on the ring.

Unfortunately with a dampener option it wont be as small as the smallest UDP... due to the fact that you need that extra 1/8th or 1/4" for the dampener material... If you ask me its still an improvement if its just a little smaller, has the dampener and weighs less than that factory hunk of shit.
