Yah those are headers, aka glorified manifolds. Milzy is a dude over at Mymonte who actually knows his stuff. Do a search and you will find SappSYe's post about how much those "headers" suck. I don't want to get too involved. Pics are at his Cardomain site, pg 8. Notice the collectors or lack thereof.
I believe the 3.4 can easily have 281crank hp. Hell by putting a box over the LIM netted 240 wheel, tuning and making that perfect will easily get it past 281 crank.Comment

Ya, it's easy enough to get 280hp out of the motor... but I'm talking about STOCK motors. All I'm saying is that NO ONE ELSE has VERIFIED it.

A guy I knew at Optimax wanted to see what was in a sodium filled valve. He cut it open then threw it in water to cool it. He blew up the pail pretty good. Didn't know about the reactivity thing. He dropped a serious load in his pants too. I believe they were exhaust valves from a ford 390/391. Funny shit though.
