    Thanks and LOL.

I was going to raise the post, but then realized I would have to do something about the cable cover on the floor. The Clear floor lift would have been better with the uneven floor since it's kind of a pain maneuvering a non-running car over the cable cover - specially when working alone, raising the cover would only make it worse.

Hopefully this shop will be outgrown anyways

Besides, it doesn't stop progress ...

I see you still haven't leveled that lift. I also see some nice looking headers.

Hmnm, I almost forgot about this thread.

    Here's recent pics...

The desk was just put in there late last night and plan on turning it into a welding station bu adding some sheet metal and a vice to it. Been welding standing up at the stainless cart, but that's a little tough to do with the TIG foot pedal.

In seeing 3400-modified's update to his thread. I figured I'd toss up some pics of the garage. I'm still not done, need lights and paint. But that may wait until spring.

    They weren't adjusted

That and the shop floor is lower on the right in that pic. The left post actually leans about 1/16" per 4' towards the wall and the other post leans the same the opposite way (they lean away from each-ohter). The floor is actually almost 1/2 lower on the right, so it took some tweaking to get it to sit proper today. It will still look a little crooked when both sides are sitting on a lock, but with 6 bolts 5/8' diameter, 6"in the concrete, it's not going anywhere

If i had checked better, there would have been a 1/2" plate under the right post, but let's see how long we are at this location...

I would imagine a nice building like that would have some nice thick floors since they would figure some people would bring in CNC and other heavy machines in. Also knowing John the way I do, I don't think he would chance it if the floor was thin.

    i hope so....

when me and my dad did the floor for his, we made sure there was at LEAST 6-8" of cement for it. its held up for about 16 months now, with his Javelin on it for at least a month at a time.

I like it, but it almost looks as if the post on the left is leaning towards the car some, and it doesn't seem to be lifting the car evenly. I could be wrong though. Now that I think about it the lifting thing, does it have adjustable pads on the end? That could be why the passenger side of the car looks higher to me- they might not be adjusted evenly.
