d.o.h.c - be very weary of.

Sort of a long story, but a good read.

This morning, d.o.h.c AKA "turbo3.4" on ebay was selling a turbo kit mensioned http://60degreev6.com/showthread.php?t=34953 on ebay, the high bidder won the whole shabang for a total of $21.05, plus $40.00 shipping. Since he didn't get the amount he wanted, Just before the end of the auction he sent the high bidder a message that said:

"I have some one else to buy these parts. they offered 150 buy it now. If you want them I will give them to you for the same price. just givin you a heads up"

Of course the high bidder won it, and was very dissapointed. Infact, the stress of possibly having a negative rating be inevidable, threatened to ruin his day. The two parties decided it would be in the best interest to exchange positive ratings, and call it a wash. No money, no parts. Just wasted time. However, a quick check of his negative ratings he got shows a pattern:

1. Sold to another buyer after I won the bid. Did not mention for sale on another

Mind you, both of these buyers only recieved one negative rating ever, and you can bet it was from turbo3.4.

Of note, there is a 3.4 DOHC on ebay for sale by this same person, Think twice before bidding! You will probably recieve a negative for attempting to buy it after he says he sold it to someone else for $1000.

ok this subject matter might be controversial but i propose we add another category to the list.

it is renigger: some1 who initiates a buy or sell put you through the trouble of getting quotes and setting the deal up and then backs out.

some1 who asks the price and then backs out doesn't count only ones who agree to purchase/sell count.

also 1 or 2 reports aren't that bad but if there is a pattern of multiple instances their credibility might be in question.

i have had a few in the past that i can't remember.

2) i usually don't buy used and/or even new parts on ebay unless the seller is close and i can visually inspect them and hear them run if nessesary.

I'd rather pay a little more and buy from established parts houses i.e., jeg's, summit etc. and have peace of mind.
