I have been meaning to ask about that snice you mentioned that the 94-95 PCM was just basicly the A1 bin.

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off-topic.

however the thought struck me: take A1 BIN, change hardware addressing locations, flash to one side of a 94-95 3100 PCM, have flash capable PCM running nAst1 code?

i'm trying to come up with a reason why it couldn't work, but so far i have none. the SPI transfer stuff that allows for communcation between the two P6 processors in the 94-95 3100 PCM would obviously need to be changed up a bit, but otherwise... i'm not seeing a whole lot of obstacles other than pouring through the entire algorithm and modifying the hardware references from P4 spec to P6 spec.

be sure to cut power to the ECM long enough to clear the NVRAM, always a bad idea to switch masks with retained RAM values.

i also am looking into the 96-97 intakes on a 95 LQ1.... since the engine is already out of vehicle, why not, right?

also, the BHAK i posted MIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT work on a 7727/7730, even without the extra 2K or SRAM. no guarantees though. if someone tries it and has issues with stack overflow, then the stack will need to be relocated to the SRAM chip and labeled as a 9396 exclusive.

I'm the curious type, so I'll probably burn it to a chip tomorrow and see how it idles. Besides, it's an excuse for me to mess with my car some more despite having to wait till after buying plates for the truck, the wifes car and the 92 before I can get some gaskets to do at least the 96 intake swap (and a battery relocation kit to use the TB arm and 75mm TB/CAI setup I bought from jmgtp) I can't swap the 96 heads yet because 1) they haven't been checked and cleaned, and two, I haven't built a flow bench so I can hopefully make some improvements to them. I'm not too hopeful, but if anything I'll have fun with it, and I have a set of heads I can ruin if need be. Besides, the good heads are destined for the 20k mile engine on the stand. You can't tell I'm getting antsy and hopeful for working on my own car and driving it this summer, can you? lol

    BHAK - nAst1 style.

so now manual and auto LQ1 cars are covered too.

when i was running Win7, i don't think i had that issue.... but at least you found a method that works.

patching will come eventually, but for now, it's easy just to use the coolant level sensor input since that cavity isn't blocked with the underhood ECM plugs and in-cabin plugs aren't going to be any different.

IIRC, the innovatove unit puts out a 7.35-22.39:1 AFR range?

ok got it. I have to save the datalogs in the tunerpro rt folder because of windows 7. Not how I wanted to do this but whatever, it works If you can patch the files for wideband instead of coolant level, that would be fine with me I am using the innovate LC1 wideband right now and would like to hook that up to the computer instead of using the software I made that video with to watch the AF ratios while I use the ostrich to watch table I am tuning.

i modified someone's BIN to use one of the spare A/D channels as a wideband input.... IIRC, it was the coolant level sensor input from the 90 applications that wasn't used in later calibrations.

would be pin C14 on a 7727/9396 or F12 on a 7730. at that point you can just change the conversion in the ADX for the coolant level sensor to match whatever your controller outputs.

    examples?

Does this have an input for a wideband already?

hmm, it doesn't bother me when I open the software like it does freescan. Send it to whoever, i just kept it link only cause its not worth searching for:P

interesting... mind if i send that link to Mark to see what he can come up with as to why it no save?

as a preliminary, are you running it as an Admin?

Yes, it showed values next to the green bar once I hit record. Perhaps I am hitting record on the wrong area?
