CPS wheel diameter?

The store pic is of the old style wheel. The new wheel uses the key on the crank.

I think perhaps one could be developed to bolt on the outside of the pulley, although there would be a lot of waste in the machining process.

Im thinking about buying the kit, have the middle cut out, and weld it onto the inside ridge of the crank pulley. So it wont be sandwiched inbetween the balancer and the pulley and I wont need to worry about shims.
