I'm curious to see what this thing does with 11.5:1 compression... Thats way up there.

It'll definately run with very good fuel economy. Till you get on it

he's running a very rough copy of my tune from last year, i'm sure it'll need to be dialed in a bit more.

Glad it runs atleast! With some datalogs we can get it sorted out pretty quick. You aren't that far away, maybe one of these weekends when my wife drags me to Galesburg i'll just drop her off and keep going.

IT RUNS, sort of. I fired the engine this evening and it acted as if it is too rich. Tomorrow I plan on checking the plugs and maybe gapping them a little wider(gapped them at .045 but I might try .060). I tried to datalog to see what was happening but for some reason a window kept opening saying that the computer couldn't open that port so I'll have to check on that, as when I set it up everything was fine. No pipes on the car just the manifolds, its loud but it sounds like it has potential. lol Oh yea, no wideband o2 until I get the exhuast on it. I've got pics in the camera but I can't seem to transfer them to my desktop because it currently doesn't want to recognize the camera when I hook it up. Lot to do tomorrow, any ideas?

Yeah since the track that was closer to me is closed, now it's 3+ hrs to get to a track. It sucks.

I'm working on a solid n/a tune, but as some know and I have told you, Any dragstrip for me is over 2hrs away to get there... so Um yeah my solid n/a tune means nothing because I have NO times to back it up and its like a vacation to get a friken time.

I'm installing the kit, doesn't mean I'll use it right away, and also the cam I went with was ground for nitrous, minus the 112 LSA, the duration and lift compliments the nitrous greatly, so its not really JUST a n/a cam, yeah it does decent power with it but it was made for nitrous.

I have been trying to get Jon to stick that damn bottle where the "sun-don't-shine" for ages, and concentrate on a solid N/A base tune and THEN go from there.

But the desire to just go fast can be a damning mistress I suppose.

I've kinda had a sleeper my whole beretta life, I want to have this one be nice painted and pretty, BUT It's gonna be completely stock exterior, and with my idle I cant fool anyone... LMAO.

If the Z04 parts were nice and clean black paint and no blemishes then maybe I wouldnt mind keeping it this way for another year... BUT it just looks like crap, and I want a beretta that looks nice as well as runs good for once.

    Me too, I need headarzzzz!!!

Hey Jon you should forget the nitrous and add the camaro pistons... Then you'd have some really high N/A #s!!

^^^ Yea, no power adders for me. Like Superdave says "N/A all the way, FTW". LOL It is what it is, I'll just have to tune the hell out of it and get some headers on that damn thing. Dave has long tube headers and you have headers, it's killing me man.

damn, thats like the same numbers I got... shows you what 11.5:1 will do over 9.15:1 But my compression is low so it can accommodate juice

Just got home so not much will get done tonight. I wanted to build this engine for torque as well as hp so that I wouldn't have to crank excessive rpm regularly, not to mention it is going to be my DD. lol Sometimes I wish that I had gone bigger with the cam like maybe a #1280 grind, but hey this is what I bought for a reason, good performance and durability. I hope. I thought that I would try the higher CR to squeeze what I could out of it. Ben ran me some numbers and this is what he came up with using the 3500 manis. and he said that the headers will help a lot.

    RPM...HP..TQ
    2000..89..233
    2500..115..241
    3000..148..259
    3500..179..269
    4000..209..274
    4500..232..271
    5000..252..265
    5500..264..252
    6000..275..241
    6500..261..211
    7000..241..181

Still not bad, looks like 6000 rpm shifts to me. Oh yea, Ben,did you get those WOT-TECH made yet?
