HOLY F-ING CHIT!
I think I'll be happy with my $400 engine, $150 valve job, $650 valve train and then my own custom porting and polishing...
Thats an insane amount of money to spend on a 60* V6... this thing better put out WAY more power than mine and handle a 200 shot with out flinching...

two questions... first, how long have you been a male prostitute? second, how many dollars per horsepower did you spend. The bills not actually that bad for people who know how to save money.

To chrome aluminum you need to plate it with nickel first. Usually copper, then nickel, then chrome. Don't know about the back side of the cover, if that is not smooth and prepped then it might flake which would be bad inside a motor. No idea how cast aluminum would take either. I'm guessing Ok if you got it smooth enough. Chrome will have a bit more bluer or darker tint to it than polished aluminum.
Just get some good high temp clear so it doesn't yellow and coat em nicely after polish.

Here you have it guys. This is what I paid for my Performance 3400 short block including the installing of WOT-Tech Street/strip heads and valvetrain with correct length moly pushrods.
One note on the quote is the Cam they had grinded by schneider. I sold that grind and went with a WOT-Tech 1357 Cam.
Be prepared to drop your Jaw. This doesn't include what It cost me to have the heads ported and the cost of the valvetrain. All they did was install and clearance the heads.
New Compression and Cubic Inch
Initial Spin Specs, Bobweight Card, and Final Spin
Sonic Check Specs
Complete 3400 RECEIPT part #1
Complete 3400 Receipt part #2
