    3500T log1.zip

Here is a log for the run where I took the video. I'm using nAst1 1.06.1. The bin I used is also in that file. I started at first with the BPC set to 104 but it's now at 84 because I was trying to lean out the tune. For the boost and spark multiplier table I just put in some guesses but that shouldn't matter for now anyway.

    Yes a 9396 from a 93 Grand Prix.

    4 scalars, 1 flag, 2 tables.

those are everything so far that is effected by having an above 1BAR MAP sensor.

EDIT: you are using a 9396, yes?

I set all the flags and scalars I could find to enable 3-bar use. But there still could be something ip

I had to set 4 different tables to use a 2 bar map on the 97 PCM (though we have different PCM's). Considering the tune, map table data, this could be the issue.

Maybe your PCM is believing you have a 1 bar reading 3 bar data. That would set the barometric pressure at 1/3 of what it really is, among other fueling calculations.

The TPS reading appears normal to me. The MAP sensor reading on the other hand I'm not sure about, but has anyone tested a 3-bar with nAst1 before? I think I'm gonna try my Fiero tune with a different base pulse constant and a 1-bar plugged in to see if it will idle.

yeah, a log will tell a lot here.

Wiring, could be a bad connection that is opening/closing the circuit......might be a ground wire. I'd also be curious of the logged data of the TPS while throttling to keep it alive.

I know my TPS is very sensitive to moisture. Just a little too much and it creates dead spots. An idea anyways.

What doesn't make sense to me is that I can't get it to stay running unless the throttle is constantly moving.

There could be something wrong with the injectors or wiring. The fuel pump wiring is the same as before except for the wire going from the relay to the ECM.

Anyways, I won't have a chance to do more troubleshooting until tomorrow.

Bouncing FP gauge peeks my curiosity. How is the voltage reading as it wants to stall? Maybe goofy IAC function?

She still sounds bad ass, gonna be a fun car.

Cyl #1 is supposed to be the one closest to the accessories, correct? I double checked the plug wires twice last night and I'm pretty sure they're correct. Here's the vid:

Fuel pump seems to be working fine. It seems like every time the engine stalls it's getting too much fuel and we have to unplug the fuel pump relay before it will start again. Right now the fuel pressure is set at about 45psi. I'm going to try a different tune to see if that makes any difference. I've already tried leaning out the current tune quite a bit with almost no change.

It's easy to get confused when your used to a front engine FWD, then you get a mid engine RWD tranverse, then a RWD longitudinal, lol. I don't even remeber if 1-3-5 is pass or driver side now that I think of it.

Pretty sure on the Fiero, 1-3-5 is towards the back..(closer to the taillamps.)

possible ground loop somewhere? fuel pump relay .....?

    Sure you'll figure it out.

Started it up last night but either the tune is way off or it's misfiring. Either way it won't idle and seems to only fire when the throttle is in motion... I'm going to check the injectors and try a different tune. I do have a vid ill upload tonight. Wideband is reading around 11.5 when it does run so it would seem not too rich to idle. Fuel pressure gauge jumps around while engine is running.
