i think the 180 hp and 175 hp versions are tenuned versions
with the main difference being the exhaust

Funny, I own a 2001 Pontiac Aztek and a 2001 Pontiac GAGT.

Anyway, the GT is 5hp more than the SE and the Aztek is 5hp more than the GT.

Better exhaust and the ram air account for the 5 hp gain in the GA's. As for the 'Asstek', not really sure how the 5hp is gained here.

Why is there reason to believe the exhaust on the neighborhood Aztek is no good?

ram air isnt real unless you are going 300mph or more
dont buy into the gm gimmick it makes no difference in a grand am whether you have ram air or not

The GT does not have a true ram air system, but between the GT and SE models, the GT has slightly better 'flow'.

Its still a cold air intake setup. Ram air doesn't have to generate boost to help the motor either, nor do you have to go 300 MPH with a good ram air setup to see any improvements.

what i ment was you wouldnt see boost unless you went 300 mph

i just did a study about ram air and i read info to the contrary from several sources
we will solve this mystery yet
