    Project Ragon Fly

1954 VW Ragtop Oval Beetle was it start . Now? It's been stretched, chopped , channeled , modified, chassis'd. Yes there is a slightly modified 2.8 V6 MPFI in it . 175hp engine in an 1800# car ... who need's all the HP? Especially with the gas $$$$$$

Wow, awesome project. How do you figure 175hp from the 2.8?

gas mileage is better with aluminum heads, and lighter. Very cool project no matter what you put in it though

Yeah, is a nice rod no matter what. But putting say 3400 heads on there and intakes would give you better mpg and power. Or even a full gen3 motor.

x2 the gen3 top end makes loads more power.

I couldn't pass this motor up . Complete motor with a partially assembled T5 $800. It was built by http://www.borowskirace.com
The guy I bought it from dumped over $2200 into it . I would of never done that. This car is a reliable driver for long crusies. Who needs the go fast and go nowhere these days.

I love the concept. I imagine it'll be quite the beastie to drive too.

                      Oh, that is just awesome!!!

The power to weight ratio is gonna be insane

Rule of thumb from an article I read was that a 180 hp motor in a Beetle is equivalent of a 350-400 hp Mustang, Camaro, Firebird, etc.

Down the road: Cam(?), 3400 ported UIM & LIM, ported heads.

whoa.... weird upper intake... i'd have went more along the lines of a tunnel-ram/mini-ram instead of dealing with all of those bends.

certainly going to be one hell of a project though.
