Very cool project.... it's different and I love it.

If your shifter is too far forward, you may consider swapping to a Camaro transmission since it's shifter is located near the end of the tail housing. The V8 version may have better gearing for that light of a vehicle.

The shifter is in a perfect place. Not tto much room in a Bug. The Camaro tail mount is on an off set angle that just wasn't going to work.
The trans is a T5 out of an S10 . It has a 4.10 first gear and a nice low 5th gear for open highway. The rear end is a M30 BMW posi with a 3:73 gear. The rear aluminum suspension arms are from a Porsche 944s turbo.

I like some of your motors on your website ..... Only if a had a much larger budget . I have only $3600 into this excluding my time.

Any chance on taking it to the annual 60v6 meet when it's done? I would love to see the finished project in person. That's going to be one sweet looking car!

Wow, this project came out of know where! this is pretty friggin awesome. i hope the rear fenders get finished off well.
As far as a gen III top end, i'd say build it, drive it, enjoy it, and if you want more, you know where to come.
