Wideband Logging; was Tunerpro RT datalog aldl def

I know freescan r0xxorz your b0xxorz and all, but has anyone created a ALDL definition file for any 60* v6?

I'm looking into building wideband logging capability with the 7730. There are a couple unused inputs, and it seems like it would be only a little work to port a 5V input to the ALDL output.

But, the problem is freescan doesn't let you change their ALDL definition. So, that's why I'm asking.....

I have always used Datamaster to datalog, I am running out of trials...heh.

I'll try out Tunerpro ASAP (when the snows gone)...

Lots. Pins A3 (TPS2), B3 (MAT2), F14 (MAP2), E10 (MAT3) to name a few.

I'm not sure about the last 2, but for sure the first 2.

I've already found out how to read the value, I just need to find a place in RAM to store it, and then modify the code to spit out the value as part of the ALDL communications.

Then, you've got an extra 0-5v input you can datalog along with everything else...

If somebody has the ALDL datastream mapped for Tunerpro RT (free software), then it would be just a simple case of adding a new value... Unfortunately I don't even know where to start there.

Is it that the inputs are unused? Or is it that they're unused on only a particular type of car. (I.E. F-body may use more sensors than a J-body will) Maybe it's already part of the datastream is what i'm saying.

Those are inputs GM didn't use on any of our cars. Go figure, who needs 2 MAP or MAT sensors? They were left in for upgradeability no doubt.

Also a google search turned up 3400beretta has the file I need... just sitting in limbo for now.

You can go and ask right at the source, there is a Tunerpro forum online someplace, the owner, Mark M. should be able to guide you in the right direction.

Done. I'd like to see it hosted here as well, it stores more information than freescan could dream of... Imagine having a datalog, where you could read how far you've traveled in miles...

That's what I thought... then everyone was like "you need to try this!"

It has a 10 second "register me" wait time when you start it up, but it's free!

I'm 90% there to testing... I'm having a problem with the assembler not labeling my new subroutine. Once I get that figured out, I'll run a test in the driveway...

It's not that bad, I went from almost no assembly or ECM programming knowledge, to writing patches in assembly for binaries in a week :P

I'll keep everyone posted... it should be easily portable to most 1227730 v6 binaries.

IT WORKS!

At least in the driveway it works. I need to confirm that it still works with the engine running, but it should, because I put the call to the program where it checks the narrowband o2 sensor... And obviously that works with the engine running... :P
