Question : Anyone used ARP Con Rod studs?

I bought set (for the 60*) , tired to install them in my rods. But the fit was WAY tighter then the stock studs. So I took them to my machine shop. They called back and said if they pressed them in then they would have to machine the rod ends because they would distort.
My goal was to make the bottom end stronger and more reliable. These studs seem like they will stress the metal. I don't want to take metal away from the rod ends or the stud holes either. These studs now seem like a waste of time and money. What do you guys think?

If they are for the 2.8 60V6 (and in the right package), then they fit. I have used them a couple times now.

Any time you change the rod bolts it is recomended that you have the rods resized. If they are the right bolts, thats probaly all they are telling you.

Yup, the holes have to be resized. Not a big deal for any machine shop. Not sure why your shop is having issues.

Its not that they are stressing them more. Its that the clamp and hold so much stronger then stock that the end cap needs to be cut down a hair and the big end of the rod re-align honed back to correct size. Perfectly normal.
