I've seen one on a mustang.. not really something I've though of doing but I think you can get them bigger/better flowing

I know places like Granetteli (sp?) makes new MAF's, but I don't think I've seen one on a 3x00 before. Anyone know if they have one or if it's even worth it?

if i had a car that required a MAF, as an upgrade i'd be looking at a LS1/ LT1? sized maf... IIRC they are larger diameter than the 660 variants.

the Granatteli MAF's are larger than stock Fbody/Ybody's for increased performance from those engines.

you have to make sure the resistors set in the MAF match what your ECM is looking for. Otherwise it will see values for flow that aren't really what is coming into the engine.

Well if anyone knows of any good aftermarket MAFs for '88 2.8 let me know. I don't have one attached to my car because the fucking things always break so I said the hell with it.

Um, in 88 there is no such thing as a good maf:P That is why GM said to hell with it and released a memcal for MAP use.

Well, I think that I defenitely need to go with that Pro-M that they were talking about. Thanks for the link Brad! Sounds like it would help me out with everything in the long run.

Dang it! Now why couldn't I have broken my MAF last night when I was putting a new air filter in?!?!?!?

Oh god, not the Grand Am owners!!! :P One guy figured 22% drive train loss... that seems high, even for an auto! I think they like to pad their #s over there. (I'd only use 20%)

Yea that did seem a little like wishful thinking on those HP numbers as well as the drivetrain loss. One person had quoted a 50hp loss!

No shit. Typical of Fiero owners.
