also, I should add that when i didn't have my foot on the gas and was "gliding" so to speak the rpms didn't stay constant but surged up and down a bit. I thought this was odd and new.

No, i need this information to know what is going on. Can you imagine mailing chips back and forth to do this? F that. This is hard enough as it is but I can get it a lot better than it is now without having the car as long as I have the experience feedback to go with the datalog.

aight cool. I'll keep feeding you info then. I just wish we could get the dang stalling issue taken care of. It's really annoying (and maybe even dangerous now that i think about it) to have the car stall out in the middle of the street while backing out of the driveway.

I might increase the idle speed to see if that helps for now. I really need some better datalogs to get some stabalized values. I need to map some values in my software as well because I am missing some that are important only for setups like this.

What do you mean by better datalogs? More time logging? Higher speeds?

Either way, we might have to wait til I get the brakes done til i can get a "proper" log to take data from.

Max... You keep mentioning your Brakes... what exactly are they doing or not doing? Spongy pedal... pulling? What? (besides the obvious problem of not stopping the car the way you want them to...) You are scaring the Hell out me about wanting to thrash out some higher speed runs to get the data logs caught up...without being able to stop the Red Rocket right...

steady state runs, where you aren't accelerating or decelerating almost the entire time other than idle.

lol don't worry Bob my friend. Before i start going for some nice and long logs which is what Ben requires to get the Red Rocket up and running to it's potential I'll be taking it over to a shop to get the brakes bled out fully. When I installed the new rear end i ran into some issues with the bleeder screws and now am forced to deal with the consequences.

I'll be gone for the weekend, but once i return I'll get the brakes taken care of to get you (and me) confident enough to continue to get Ben what he requires for the continuance of the tuning process.

drove the bird to the shop without any issues.

hopefully this log will be good. I was at some sustained speeds for a little while which is what we wanted.

Let me know what you think of the log.

i see ben locked the BLM to 128 for you... i'm not a fan of that method unless i'm playing with an emulator. but the fueling certainly needs some work now that the motor has been able to move into those previously untapped VE cells.
