i have saftey glasses on from the time i walk in the door of the shop till i leave to go home.

while its very hard to get something in ur eye with them on its still possible, from now on i will be using goggles instead of glasses since they offer better protection.

i also made things worse when u get something in ur eye ur first instaintct is to rub ur eye, which u shouldnt do. well i did it and ended up pushing the pieces of metal deeper into my eye.

wish i could take a picture of my eye for u guys so u could see how serious it really is.
hopefully those of u who do read this will always were ur saftey glasses and whatnot this is somethign u really do not want to have to go threw.
ive had broken bones and cut fingers on the bandsaw etc that havent hurt as bad as this does

porting does infact help on a boosted motor,im in to much pain right now to try and explain it though.
well heres something for u to think about
a stock grand national head flows 127 cfm on the intake side and they have the same size int and ex valve.

with the right combo and stock untouched heads these cars can break 10.90 but thats about the limit. now take the same heads and port them witht he same sized valves and those heads will run into the 9's

i dont know how many of u guys have ever seen a gn cyl head but they are far worse design and flow less then the 60* rwd iron heads

    on a side note

it figures that i would get hurt working on a set of 90* v6 heads lmfao

Boosting and porting dosn't make a whole lot of sense. All that presure will make up for any shortcomings in the intake track. The valve ihead tself will limit airflow at 28psi. Maybe I missed somthing in this post...

actually ive had shops tell me no open ex and or slicks before

nice rob gonna be a fun day

except i had an accident at work,i just got out of the hospital and from seeing an eye doctor who had to remove pieces of a carbide cutter and metal chips out of my eye.

so im putting this on hold for a minimum of 1-2 weeks depending on how long it takes my eye to heal before i finish up the car
let alone i have to waer an eye patch for the next week over my left eye

.... just spoke w/Jay over there, who sounds like one hell of a nice guy! Open exhaust is fine, but it's no longer $60.00, it's a whopping $75.00. He stated to just give him a heads up beforehand of course. I'll be bringing the video camera, cuz I'm getting my blown GTA dynoed the very same day.

going to be a lil longer then expected, today we fgot hit with 8 or so inches of snow.

i wont dare take the car out of the ground is wet let alone in snow,so we will see what the next few days brings weather wise

im curious have u spoke to anyone from the dyno place yet ?
i need to knwo if an open ex is an issue and i also need to make sure that the car being on slicks wont matter

won't be long now. i'm excited to hear how it does. i don't think you'll ever get the 2 injectors to work right. they would have to be exactly perfect to work. reminds me of the tri-power carbs. my dad said they were amazing, but getting them to work right was rough.

new intercooler in, and fuel maps just about sorted out

my friend will also be able to tow me down to the dyno so everything is just about ready to go.

lil more tunning and i may throw another 2-3 pounds of boost at it

so we should be looking at say wensday/thursday for the car to be 100% ready

its almost ready,im down to my 2 last things to fix

#1 need to swap out my fmic,my stacked starion cores arent flowing as well as i thought,im seeing about 7 psi loss across the core

#2 i need to get the staged injection system working corectly, or swap out to single 60# injectors

ive already got a brand new fmic to go on the car so that will only take a day, and it shouldnt take me that long to get the fueling right on the car so say a week
